Plop Plop is Haiti’s first integrated ride-hailing and delivery platform, revolutionizing mobility for drivers, riders, and diaspora families.
We’re looking for a dynamic City Operations Manager to lead local teams and ensure seamless service delivery.
Role Overview
As City Operations Manager, you’ll oversee all on-the-ground operations, managing a team of Driver Trainers (“Captains”), Marketing Associates, and HR staff. You’ll drive growth, efficiency, and driver/rider satisfaction in your city.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
Manage and mentor:
Driver Trainers (“Captains”): Ensure high-quality driver onboarding and training
Marketing Associates: Execute hyperlocal campaigns to attract riders and drivers
HR Staff: Handle driver recruitment, retention, and conflict resolution
Conduct weekly team meetings and performance reviews
2. Driver & Fleet Operations
Optimize driver supply to meet rider demand
Monitor driver performance (acceptance rates, ratings, earnings)
Resolve escalated driver/rider issues (safety, payments, complaints)
3. Marketing & Growth
Collaborate with marketing teams to:
Launch city-specific promotions (e.g., “Free First Ride” for new users)
Partner with local businesses (restaurants, churches, schools)
Track KPIs: driver sign-ups, ride volume, customer acquisition cost
4. HR & Compliance
Ensure all drivers complete legal/background checks
Implement Plop Plop’s code of conduct and safety policies
Organize driver appreciation events (e.g., “Top Driver of the Month”)
5. Data & Reporting
Analyze city-specific data (ride patterns, peak hours, cancellations)
Report weekly to HQ with actionable insights
Qualifications
5+ years in operations, logistics, or team management (ride-hailing or delivery platforms preferred)
Leadership: Proven ability to manage 10+ staff across functions
Data-driven: Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (SQL a plus)
Local expertise: Deep knowledge of city transport and demographics
Languages: Fluent in Haitian Creole & French (English a plus)
Problem-solver: Thrives in fast-paced, unstructured environments
Performance Metrics
Driver Retention Rate: Target 80% month-over-month
Ride Growth: Target 20% monthly increase
Average Driver Rating: Target 4.7/5
