About Plop Plop

Plop Plop is Haiti’s first integrated ride-hailing platform, revolutionizing mobility for drivers and riders.

We’re looking for Captains—experienced driver-trainers who will onboard and mentor new drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

Role Overview

As a Captain, you’ll:

• Train and certify new Plop Plop drivers

• Ensure they master the app, navigation, customer service, and safety protocols

• Be the face of Plop Plop’s driver community, empowering others to succeed

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Driver Training & Onboarding

• Conduct hands-on training sessions (individual & group) to teach drivers:

  • 📱 How to accept rides, navigate the app, and use GPS efficiently

  • 💬 Best practices for communication with riders (greetings, complaints)

  • 💳 Cashless payment processes & fare tracking

2️⃣ Field Training

• Ride along with new drivers to:

  • 🗺 Demonstrate optimal routes & traffic shortcuts

  • 🚦 Coach safe driving habits & vehicle maintenance checks

  • ⚡ Practice real-time troubleshooting (app glitches, cancellations)

3️⃣ New Feature Rollouts

• Train drivers on app updates (e.g., promo codes, surge pricing) through:

  • 👨‍🏫 In-person workshops

  • 🎥 Video tutorials (for remote drivers)

  • 📲 WhatsApp support groups

4️⃣ Performance Feedback

• ✅ Evaluate drivers post-training & provide coaching

• 📝 Report recurring issues to HQ (e.g., app bugs, rider complaints)

Qualifications & Skills

• 🚖 2+ years as a ride-hailing driver (Uber/Grab/related experience)

• 💻 Tech-savvy: Proficient with Google Maps, WhatsApp & ride-hailing apps

• 👥 Leadership: Patient, articulate, and motivational

• 🗣 Bilingual: Fluent in Haitian Creole (French/English a plus)
